# External Access Security Controls

A WSM deployment from the AWS MarketPlace is configured to be deployed into your private subnets. The associated AWS Security groups restrict access to the CIDR block of the VPC by default. By default, the product is NOT publicly accessible.

As part of the deployment process, Nuvens can offer guidance on further restricting the security groups to only subnets where WorkSpaces are provisioned.
